Job Description:
Purpose & Accountabilities
The TAO Data/Business Analyst will be responsible for developing models in all data and analytics areas across business, but initially on Proof of Concept level.
For example:
Collect data for Computer Vision in multiple business areas. Develop a model to detect restricted area in the field, which leads to alarming if people enter the restricted area. Model should be able to process videos (also live videos) High quality documentation of the model, limitations, and learnings
- Maintain databases/data systems by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources
- Provide business solutions by researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating algorithms.
- Analyze, interpret, and identify trends in complex data sets
- Using statistical techniques, interpret data, analyze results, and provide ongoing reports
- Creation and maintenance of a web-based "live" dashboard to provide insight into current performance and trending.
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality
- Maintain databases/data systems by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources
- Analyze, interpret, and identify trends in complex data sets
- Identify and correct code errors by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators
- Prioritize information and business needs with management
- Identify and define new opportunities for process improvement
- Keep up with mandatory training
Dimensions:
- Multi-stakeholder collaboration, tools, and workflows
- Analyzing and providing the most reliable data on time for various review processes
- Demystify the complexity of the process and identify opportunities for simplification
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor/Master degree in machine learning or equivalent
- 3+ years of relevant experience in building production-scale systems/algorithms in Machine learning/deep learning.
- In order to deliver, the incumbent must be able to work across multiple organizations and teams.
- Mindset of enterprise first and standardization/simplification
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within Shell and within different cultural contexts.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure with a crowded and changing business agenda
- Aid managers in standardizing processes, tools, methods, and procedures (Ex: Improving data quality standards and best practices).
- Interested in learning new tools like Celonis/Spotfire/R-tool SQL coding, etc. For data analysis
Skills/Competencies:
- Programming skills in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Scala, Java, C, C+
- Worked with deep learning frameworks like Pytorch and MxNet.
- Hands-on experience with state-of-the-art approaches for object detection (e.g. Faster RCNN, YOLO, CenterNet, etc.)
- Understanding of deep learning CV evaluation metrics such as mAP, F_beta, PR curves, etc
- Experience with Power-Bi
- Power-App and Power-Automate experience is an added advantage
