General Summary:

The Global CAD team delivers tools, flows, and methodologies that enable these cutting-edge products. As part of this course, you will explore and create flows that use machine learning to automate the process from RTL to GDS for a wide range of SoCs in deep sub-micron processes. Working closely with design teams, you will gain exposure to SoC, GPU, CPU, and DSP architecture. To meet complex SOC requirements, you will drive vendors to enable production-ready tool sets. You will be required to develop automation that will reduce power consumption, increase performance, and reduce die size. Apply your analytical and programming skills to solve complex problems in the areas of Synthesis, Floorplan, Place and Route, Timing Signoff, PDN Analysis, and design closure for Mobile, Compute, AI, and IOT Chips.

Qualifications:

• Understanding of industry EDA tools and PPA optimization techniques
• Analytical and debugging skills that are excellent with strong logical and creative problem-solving skills
• Scripting knowledge with experience in C++, Python, and TCL
• Data Structures and Optimization Algorithms are familiar
• It is important to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly motivated, excellent team spirit, customer and product oriented
• Experience ranging from 0-3 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 0-2+ years CAD tools development for ASIC design, floorplan, place and route, signoff or related work experience
• 0-2 + years of experience in advanced process technology.
• 0-2+ years’ experience with architecture and design tools.
• 0-2+ years’ hands-on experience with C++ and Python languages

Education Qualifications:

Required: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering with courses on CAD algorithms

Physical Requirements:

• Transport frequently between offices, buildings, and campuses up to 12 miles.
• Transports and installs equipment weighing up to 5 pounds frequently.
• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing and sitting).
• Monitors and uses computers and test equipment for more than six hours each day.
• The ability to communicate continuously with colleagues, customers, and vendors, both in person and remotely.
