What a College Intern: Intelligent Robotic Process Automation and Analytics Developer does at HP:
As an IRPAA Developer you participate in discussions with business process owners, documenting the requirements to automate the process, then building automations and analysing output by:
- Using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technology and other programming languages - UiPath, Python, JavaScript, MS Power Automate, and VBA.
- Developing automation solutions using UI Path or other programming languages in accordance with best practices for designing, developing, and testing automation workflows.
- Assist with the launch and implementation of RPA solutions.
- Analyzing, designing, testing, and deploying automation workflows from the beginning to the end of the project life cycle
- Document automations such as process design documents, playbooks, architecture documents, and infrastructure documents to accurately represent design and coding
- Test the quality of the automation (QA processes) by performing user acceptance tests
- Translate stakeholder requirements into technical approaches and workflow designs that can be implemented
- Implement and integrate the solutions in collaboration with the development team
- Troubleshoot production issues or support deployments
- Keep current with relevant technologies and business processes
- Guidance to business users on RPA development
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- An undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or any other related field with good programming skills is required
- Proficient in VB.NET and/or C#, with an understanding of object-oriented programming
- The ability to design, code, test, and debug
- Analytical skills, logical approach, and problem-solving abilities
- Process and workflow analysis and design knowledge
- Troubleshooting and technical skills (system analysis and design)
- Ability to create technical documentation.
- Knowledge of SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Capable of handling errors, optimizing processes, and managing process risks.
- Knowledge of ICR / OCR (Intelligent/ Optical character recognition) , AI, machine learning and Natural language processing (NLP) is advantageous.
- Capable of committing 5-6 months to an internship.
