Job Description:
A Data Analyst is a computer specialist. Our software developers, Production Management analysts, and Work Control SMEs will collaborate on various data initiatives in this position. Data must be processed, designed, and presented in a way that enables better business decisions, which requires technical expertise.
Responsibilities:
- This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company.
- Defining and designing data modeling and data analysis.
- Maintains the accuracy and completeness of data in master files and various support tools.
- Establishes and monitors data management and design policies and procedures
- Maintain data security and compliance.
- Develops, tests, and verifies custom reports and structured query language (SQL) using a SQL database.
- Provides data quality assurance and reviews; coordinates data collection.
- Assists with the definition of requirements and capabilities; ensures the integrity of the system and data.
- Support ongoing data architecture processes and governance
- Regularly and accurately reports on Work Order/Service Desk key performance indicators for all LCV Task Orders.
- As needed, performs other duties and assignments.
- Establish repeatable BI practices, principles, and processes by leveraging industry best practices
Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One year of related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if a degree is required. Use the guide below to determine education and experience for this position.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Knowledge of Maximo, Congo's, Microsoft Power BI, Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Scheduler
Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination:
The State of Kuwait (and certain airlines) now require proof of COVID-19 Vaccination. The definition of fully vaccinated is that you’ve: 1.) received a vaccine that is recognized by the governing entity and is either a.) Two doses of Pfizer BioNTech Vaccine b.) Two doses of AstraZeneca/Oxford Vaccine c.) Two doses of Moderna Vaccine (or) d. One dose of Johnson & Johnson Vaccine, and 2.) Two weeks elapsed after the final dose was administered, which is either one or two doses depending on brand of the vaccination. You must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to qualify for this position.
Experience:
- Five (5) years combined experience in data and analytics
- Experience with report design and data structuring.
- Ability to utilize a variety of data base management programs and tools to create, modify and maintain databases.
Skills:
- Analytical skills
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential.
- Developing a collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork, is essential.
- You must have discretion and good judgment, as well as understand the impact of decisions on the company as a whole.
- The ability to handle confidential company and employee information with complete discretion is required.
- Organizational and planning skills of a high level are required in order to manage workflow efficiently and accurately.
- Detailed-oriented with a high degree of accuracy is required.
Working Conditions:
- Be able to work in extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Environment in which conditions are adverse (e.g., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer).
- Also includes some industrial production environment conditions.
Physical Requirements:
- Work is light. Moving objects using up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously.
- The job may require heavy lifting, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and exposure to physical, chemical, or biological agents.
- Some situations require employees to wear personal protective equipment (PPE). Protective equipment includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing devices.
