Job Description Summary:

The Systems Service Engineer works on product-related functions and features and with cross-functional leadership to develop the product service strategy and integrate the strategy into operational practice. To ensure product performance, life-cycle cost (measurement and prediction), and clinical quality expected by global customers, interaction with Product Management, Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Service and other GE Health Care design functions is required. Responsibilities:

In this role you will:
  • Define the product service strategy, including installation, functional testing, monitoring, maintenance, diagnostic methodologies, troubleshooting, repair methods, repair parts, and service tools.
  • Contribute to design and program reviews to optimize implementation of the defined service strategy and serviceability.
  • Using appropriate internal and external expertise, verify and validate the product design, service documentation, and service processes to ensure serviceability goals are met.
  • Distribute repair parts, tools, documentation, and processes to enable and support regional sales and service.
  • As applicable to this job type/position, follow the Quality Manual, the Quality Management System, the Quality Management Policy, and the Quality Goals.
  • Meeting all Quality & Compliance training deadlines Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as needed
  • Assure compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before producing design outputs/delivering program deliverables Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent
  • With 4+ years relevant experience in product service engineering or new product design and service engineering
  • Ability to work with cross-functional and global project teams
  • Skills in Interpersonal Relationships
  • Planned projects effectively
  • A record of creating original designs and bringing them to market.
Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent experience Field service experience Medical device design and support expertise Working knowledge of International Standards Organization for Standardization(ISO), Final design approval(FDA) and other applicable medical device regulatory standards Familiarity with GEHC products Demonstrated success leading global technical project teams
