Summary of Duties:

• Taking care of patients within the department;
• Record-keeping and verification of patient clinical history, as well as MRI safety screening information;
• Obtains informed consent when necessary;
• Provides MRI examinations (clinical and research) in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards, and departmental procedures;
• Organizes daily work schedule, prioritizes and arranges emergency/add-on cases as required;
• Provides quality patient care, including IV insertion and administration of contrast medium as necessary;
• Assists radiology residents and fellows within the division as required
• Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as needed
• Maintains adequate records and documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures;
• As needed, performs maintenance and care of equipment;

Qualifications/Skills:

• CMRTO Registration - MRI
• CAMRT Registration
• Recent experience as a related technologist in a hospital
• Clinical MRI experience related to recent clinical trials
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills, communication (verbal/written), and multi-tasking abilities
• Demonstrated initiative and comfort in making decisions
• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
