Summary of Duties:
- Taking care of patients within the department;
- Record-keeping and verification of patient clinical history, as well as MRI safety screening information;
- Obtains informed consent when necessary;
- Provides MRI examinations (clinical and research) in accordance with applicable legislation, clinical standards, and departmental procedures;
- Organizes daily work schedule, prioritizes and arranges emergency/add-on cases as required;
- Provides quality patient care, including IV insertion and administration of contrast medium as necessary;
- Assists radiology residents and fellows within the division as required
- Participates in the orientation of new staff and students as needed
- Maintains adequate records and documentation in accordance with departmental policies and procedures;
- As needed, performs maintenance and care of equipment;
Qualifications/Skills:
- CMRTO Registration - MRI
- CAMRT Registration
- Recent experience as a related technologist in a hospital
- Clinical MRI experience related to recent clinical trials
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, communication (verbal/written), and multi-tasking abilities
- Demonstrated initiative and comfort in making decisions
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment, as well as independently
