Job Description:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for strong fundamental project management expertise coupled with comprehensive technical knowledge of combination medical device development, validation, transfer to manufacture, and the regulatory approval process. They will need previous direct experience in the complete development life cycle from feasibility through commercialization and a strong character to drive projects to completion.
Qualification:
Must Have:
- Mechanical Engineer with over five years of experience developing medical devices
- Experience with mechanical design using Solid works for five years or more
- Experience with the development and manufacturing of medical devices
- Experience in Design Controls, FDA QSR 21 CFR Part 820, and ISO 13485
- Working experience with 510k, 510k de novo, and PMA filings
- An understanding of finite element analysis
- Design for manufacturing experience
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
Nice To Have:
- Injection molding experience
- Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) experience
- Statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE) experience
Education:
University - Bachelor's Degree/3-4 Year Degree
