A telecommunications company in the U.S., MCI Communications Corp. was instrumental in changing the law and regulations that led to the breakup of the AT&T monopoly of American telephony and the emergence of the competitive long-distance telephone market. Washington, D.C., was its headquarters[1]. In 1963, it became the second-largest long-distance provider in the U.S. In 1998, it was purchased by WorldCom and renamed MCI WorldCom, which was shortened to WorldCom in 2000. Due to financial scandals and bankruptcy, WorldCom changed its name to MCI Inc. in 2003. After Verizon acquired MCI in January 2006, the MCI name disappeared from the company.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform all administrative tasks necessary to facilitate the closing of sales deals. Coordinate and schedule meetings, as well as draft correspondence.
- Providing feedback on future buying trends based on market and customer information.
- Representing your organization at trade shows, events, and demonstrations.
- Prepares action plans for locating sales leads and prospects.
- Writing proposals and calculating budgets
- Identify industry trends and developments
- Support and Lead proposals will be shared with clients
- Interns should be flexible regarding their work schedules
Job Requirements:
A bachelor's degree is the minimum requirement for many entry-level business development jobs. Minimum of two years of experience in the necessary field. A strategic thinker who can develop and refine strategy for successful implementation of each new business line.
Additional Requirements:
- Expert in Microsoft Office applications.
- Conduct research from a variety of sources and channels
- Ability to analyze research findings and develop concept plans and strategies
- Communication skills, written skills, and presentation skills are essential
