Analytical expertise, data infrastructure, and reporting enable Facebook's Global Operations organization to be self-sufficient in tactical decision-making and drive operations strategy. Data Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Engineering partners outside Global Operations form our key partnerships, as do embedded data teams and core functions within Global Operations. Through research and advanced analysis, we are responsible for providing accurate, reliable, and accessible business metrics as well as contextualizing them in operational performance. For people and businesses across the world to connect safely, Facebook is in need of Analysts who share this passion. This position will be based in our Singapore office supporting a global team.

Responsibilities:
  • Apply quantitative skills to and incorporate qualitative insights to inform and influence strategy for Global Operations
  • Working with Operations, Data Science, Data Engineering, Product and Engineering teams to identify trends and opportunities
  • Prepare plans, processes, and playbooks by analyzing data, conducting research, and synthesizing feedback
  • To monitor the performance of our operations and drive business understanding, build/maintain data infrastructure (data pipelines, aggregated data sets, reports, dashboards).
  • Measuring the effectiveness of human reviews by designing, implementing, and monitoring metrics
Minimum Qualifications:
  • B.A. or B.S. degree with a quantitative focus in Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, Statistics, Operations Research, or equivalent training
  • Ability to query and manipulate complex raw datasets for analysis using SQL & Python
  • Two or more years of experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)
  • Extensive experience with statistical analysis (e.g., hypothesis testing, probability, prevalence measurement, regressions, experimentation logic and biases, data modeling techniques, time series analysis)
  • Expertise in data pipeline architectures, data modeling and reporting systems
  • Having the ability to translate business objectives into actionable analyses of technical concepts and their implications, and able to explain both to varied audiences
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree with a quantitative focus (Economics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Math, Statistics)
  • Ability to think strategically, solve product problems structurally, and drive execution
  • Developing data pipelines using SQL and Python-based ETL frameworks
  • Code release experience
  • Coding experience that can be tested
