About the Role:

Our Clinical Engineering team needs an experienced enthusiastic Electronics Technician to service and maintain a wide variety of medical equipment. Some examples of the types of equipment you will be responsible for include; vital signs monitors, defibrillators, telemetry, and infusion pumps. Medical Equipment advances quite rapidly in terms of functionality and sophistication, so you’ll be given ongoing technical training as required. As much of our equipment is becoming networked you will have the ability to broaden your IT knowledge and skills.

About You:
  • You will be a focused person who is process driven, able to use their initiative and has an excellent attention to detail. As part of Clinical Engineering at Dunedin Hospital, you'll need to be able to work harmoniously in a team environment while remaining focused on patient care excellence.
  • It is expected that you will have a tertiary qualification in electronics or equivalent electronics knowledge and practical work experience, as well as a current registration as a "Registered Electrical Appliance Serviceperson" (as required by the Electrical Workers Registration Board).
  • Due to the nature of the job, you must be physically fit and possess a valid driver's license since you will visit patients in their homes. Clinical Engineering experience would be significantly beneficial.
