SYNOPSIS

Technology & Innovation (T&I) is responsible for SAP's overall platform and technology development, such as SAP Cloud Platform or SAP HANA. T&I also drives the incubation and adoption of SAP's intelligent technologies such as SAP Leonardo AI and AI Foundation.

As part of SAP's intelligent technologies portfolio, SAP AI Foundation is a key element of the Intelligent Enterprise. As a Developer of AI Foundation, you will have the unique opportunity to be part of the machine learning platform team in Singapore. This very dynamic, fun and start-up type of environment provides a huge potential to learn and work on emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, AI, Cloud and Big Data. You will be working together with experienced software engineers and machine learning experts to deliver state-of-the-art intelligent services in our cloud ecosystem.

 

THE ROLE

 

He or she is responsible for all technical and architectural aspects of the team's deliverables. It would involve developing platform services/tools to support efficient training and serving of machine learning models. Work in a diverse team applying agile software development methodologies to achieve excellence in system scalability and efficiency. The Engineer would also use, extend, and implement scalable and fault-tolerant cloud-native systems, write micro-services for orchestrating machine learning workloads leveraging container and Kubernetes technologies, integrate services into enterprise systems, and automate workflows the continuous delivery of our large-scale micro-service software and contribute to the Site Reliability Engineering processes.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent education with strong competencies in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded programming, and software design principles
• 0-2 years of experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Go, or Java.
• Experience with cloud-based application development using Kubernetes, Docker, & platform hosted solutions (AKS/EKS/GKE)
• • Experience building, deploying, and managing CI/CD pipelines across multiple hyperscale environments such as AWS, GCP, and Azure
• An understanding of version control tools such as Github would be advantageous
• Experience with RESTful implementations, micro-service architectures, and containerization
• • Knowledge of database systems and Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Working knowledge of Linux distributions such as SUSE, Ubuntu and Bash scripting

A good thing to have

• An understanding of the fundamentals of Machine Learning
• Learn how to train and serve machine learning models with machine learning libraries
• Experience with data ingestion and big data technologies
