Job Description:
A software engineer will be responsible for defining product specifications, designing, implementing and testing protocols, components and device drivers necessary to allow the application to consume medical device data and provide additional clinical decision support to our customers. Additionally, the engineer will gather customer requirements, assist in the development of the SOW, and support our customers' verification and validation tasks.
Job Responsibilities:
- To ensure performance and scalability of the systems architecture and system, develop key technical components.
- To design and implement a component that will flow information across all platforms, you should have a solid understanding of the windows services, web services, thin client applications, and the Microsoft platforms.
- An architectural design needs to be able to work seamlessly across different communication models and methods using the knowledge of communication protocols and networks.
- Identify algorithm, system, and/or performance requirements with R&D technical lead and determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Ensures project results are successful by participating as a technical team member on a core team and working with people from various disciplines.
- Work with product owners to understand the application requirements and system requirements. Ensure that these requirements are translated into detailed approaches and designs, then communicate these to the technical lead.
- To ensure that the overall system meets optimal operational and performance requirements, collaborate with other engineering staff to evaluate and specify interfaces between other products or components.
- Contributes to the design of system components or systems.
- Creates documentation as needed for regulatory and quality purposes.
- Ensure the document is compliant with external and internal regulations.
- Works well as part of a team.
- Codes in a good way.
Required Skills/ Qualification:
- Freshman: Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering with specialization in Computer Science, IT, Bio-Medical, Bio-Technology, ECE or EEE from a premium institution.
- Understands and applies Agile/Scrum software development processes, design methodologies, design patterns, and requirements-driven development and testing
- Knowledge and experience in C#, Python, and Java.
- Excellent knowledge of RDBMS.
- Version control systems expertise (e.g. TFS, Perforce, Git, Subversion)
- Operating systems including Windows and Linux are well understood.
- Communication skills that are both verbal and written.
Nice to Have:
- Knowing FDA and ISO design controls is a plus.
- It is a plus if you have knowledge of web platforms and deployment models.
- It is a plus if you have some familiarity with cloud services such as AWS/Azure.
