Responsibilities:
- Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining Google's products and new features aimed directly at users.
- Organize and manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Create web-based applications, create fast, easy-to-use applications, and develop prototypes quickly.
- Support large, complex web applications with libraries and frameworks.
- Participate in engineering activities from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Software development experience with one or more general programming languages (e.g. Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript and/or Go).
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, other technical related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with web/mobile application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.
- Work experience in the payments industry and/or with payments-related products.
- The ability to mentor, review code, review design documents, give technical talks, teach classes, and consult on projects.
- Knowledge of other programming languages and interest in learning them.
