As a Partner Engineer, you'll work with the Cloud Partner and Sales teams to grow the technical capabilities of our Google Cloud partner ecosystem. We need you to recruit, launch, and grow our partners, enable their technical teams, and assist their customers in their technical journeys with Google Cloud.
In this role, you will support our partners and partner team. Your role will be to become a trusted advisor to our partners and prospects, helping them get the most value from our platform.

Job Description:
Qualifications:
- The candidate must hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Extensive experience with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.
- An understanding of cloud computing, or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role (including experience as part of a system engineering team).
Qualifications desired:
- A master's degree in computer science or a related technical field is required.
- Extensive experience with networking concepts such as routing, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
- Architect and develop software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Map Reduce, Hadoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, Impala, SparkSQL, and BigQuery.
- Knowledge of cloud infrastructure technologies (e.g., containers, Kubernetes, VMs). Experience with big data analytics and machine learning within companies, and understanding of using and managing databases.
- The ability to quickly learn, understand, and work with new and emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud space.
- Assist technical partners with their needs and translate customer requirements into Google's products and solutions. Oversee product positioning and deep dives.
- Work with Google Cloud Partners leadership to identify, qualify, and prioritize joint market opportunities. Participate in periodic business plan reviews, providing insight into how to best secure technical wins with prospects.
- Demonstrate/prototype integrations of Google's enterprise Cloud Platform products in customer/partner environments. Providing best practice advice to customers and partners on how to make Google Cloud Platform effective by providing integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure.
- Provide support to partners and partners' managers in regards to their customers. Increase business growth through the use/application of technology.
- Work with Global System Integrators to build a Google Cloud
