Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for managing and optimizing resources (personnel, tools, Materials & technical support), to continuously improve Site operations in terms of quality, cost and scalability. You will lead a team of Blade service technicians for the execution of blade service related activities in Digital Services with full focus on EHS, Quality, cost reduction and adherence to compliance requirements for smooth execution across sub-regions.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strategy for executing blade repairs in assigned APAC sub regions.
  • Coordinate cranes, Tooling, and Resources for smoother execution.
  • Drive actions to ensure the global standard hrs. are achieved in region on Blade repair execution and overall job costs (labor + materials) are driven down year over year.
  • Sharing best practices and lessons learned between regions and sub regions.
  • Coordination with WH team for building inventory and availability of materials
  • Drive timely action by evaluating repair categories.
  • Examine and follow EHS policies and procedures applicable to blade repair operations.
  • Coordinate between FRO, Engineering, and Sites to ensure smooth execution.
  • Review GE WDI and procedures, provide feedback, and apply them effectively.
  • Assist in all aspects of site preparation (coordination of labor and materials) with minimal supervision
  • Document all work performed using computer-based service reporting procedures
  • Assure proper execution and validation of the job from time to time, following the standard process for onboarding local contractors.
  • Inform engineers, customers, and management of site status
  • Adopt best EHS practices and complete all required EHS training.
  • Plan the execution of working orders in cooperation with the project/service coordinator.
  • In cooperation with the training coordinator, planning and recording of training courses for service technicians.
  • Through effective planning and execution, ensuring technically correct work within the service team
  • Document all repairs in a satisfactory and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that assignments are solved correctly financially and in accordance with GE-DS processes
Qualification & Requirements:
  • Engineering or Diploma with 8 to 10 with Fibre glass repair is required
  • Good communicator and getting people to work as one team.
  • Able to create team spirit and communicate targets to the team.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to read blueprints/ work instructions and operate basic hand tools and equipment.

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • High degree of flexibility and able to work under time constraints
  • Motivated person with a can-do attitude
  • Able to work at heights
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to customer work sites.
Desired Characteristics:
  • Must have a positive attitude and the ability to complete physically demanding tasks at heights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in an environment of changing priorities
Strong attention to detail:
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to implement innovative solutions
  • Wind farm experience is essential
  • Communication skills, both oral and written
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Working independently is a must
  • Traveling for training and work nationally or internationally is required
  • Business management systems experience including: RACES, SSS, Oracle, Tableau, and Perceptive platforms.
