Description:
Bio Rad is looking for a Field Service Engineer who will perform repairs, upgrades, and preventative maintenance on our instruments for clinical diagnostics, life science, and BioPharma customers based in Atlanta, GA traveling 50 – 75%.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer site service for all CDG/LSG products, including emergency service.
- Preventive maintenance maximizes system uptime.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business by acting as a customer advocate.
- Manages the company's assets, including parts inventory and leased vehicles.
- Documentation of services in accordance with FDA regulations is part of administrative duties.
- Other responsibilities include accurate expense reporting and timekeeping.
- Maintain learning plans in the training database and conduct regular product updates.
- Travel is required.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Electronics or related field equivalent experience.
- A minimum of three years of transferable field service experience servicing electro-mechanical, electronic, optical, or robotic equipment, in a biomedical engineering or medical diagnostics instrumentation environment; or a BA degree and one year of equivalent experience.
- Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow medium- to highly complex work instructions.
- Excellent computer skills with a basic understanding of computer networking to interface with customers' I.T. branches.
- A good understanding of customer relations and solid communication skills.
