Description:
Machine learning (Biomedical) Engineer
We are currently looking for a talented machine learning engineer to join our Research Team.
Our Story
We are a medical technology start-up that focuses on providing functional lung data to physicians. We utilize cutting-edge algorithms from mechanical engineering, image processing and mathematics to build proprietary Software as a Service (SaaS) based products that deliver new insights into lung function and patient health.
Who are you?
- Masters in machine learning/AI (with an undergraduate background in engineering)
- Industry experience conducting internal research activities
- Experience in the application of fundamental image processing and machine learning techniques to medical imaging problems
- Development of proof of concept software for investigating complex engineering hypotheses
- Experience drafting software requirements specifications
- Experience working in a commercially regulated environment (experience with FDA approved medical devices is preferred)
- Experience with deep learning (AI)
- Experience working in a medical technology company is preferred
- Experience working for an ASX listed company is preferred
You will need to have experience using the following programs/operating systems:
- Python
- Avizo
- ImageJ
- Linux
As this role involves significant collaboration this position is not offered as a remote working role. This role is located in Melbourne and candidates will be expected to spend significant time in the office.
We are looking to fill this position immediately and require candidates to be available to start by the 16th of August.
