Machine Learning Engineer
We are looking for Machine Learning Engineers to join our team and play a key role in helping ASOS provide the best shopping experience to our millions of customers. This role offers broad exposure to ASOS, requiring close collaboration with the retail, marketing, and technology departments. You will be part of a highly innovative AI platform, working alongside data engineers and machine learning scientists to solve and produce interesting and difficult problems. We are an online-only retailer, so we have unique datasets - transactions, click streams, and product descriptions for millions of customers and thousands of products. An ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience solving tough problems with large datasets. Self-motivated and capable of working independently, you will be highly detail-oriented and have excellent communication skills.
What you'll be doing...
- As part of a cross-functional team, developing and improving internal and external data products
- Developing and scaling algorithms that will result in measurable impact across the business
- A machine learning model that runs batch and online at the scale of ASOS
- Building the tools, frameworks, and infrastructure for accelerating ML product delivery and optimizing operations
- Taking an active role in establishing ML Ops standards and driving quality across our estate
We'd love to meet someone with...
- An advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning or similar
- Extensive experience in implementing and deploying machine learning models in Python, Scala, .NET or similar languages
- Work with at least one machine learning framework (Tensor Flow, Pytorch, XGBoost, Scikit-Learn, etc...)
- Experience with combining data from multiple sources and building pipelines in a cloud environment, particularly with large-scale data computation technologies, such as Apache Spark
- Exceptional understanding of software engineering practices (data pipelines, API workflows, continuous integration and distribution, containerization) - specifically ML Ops concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Having the ability to work collaboratively with both scientists and engineers, as well as non-technical stakeholders, in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of the retail, marketing, and/or ecommerce industries is a plus
