- Conceptualizing new delivery systems for drugs or improving existing products
- Design and develop engineering prototypes
- Engineer and design documentation including specifications, detail drawings, assembly drawings, tolerance stack analyses, change orders, risk assessments, etc.
- Create test plans, protocols, and reports
- Engineers test
- Work on the development and assembly of user simulators
- Test fixtures and components should be designed.
- Conform to FDA guidelines for combination products
- B.S. Degree in Engineering discipline with 2 – 4 years experience
- Associate Degree in Engineering discipline with 4 – 6 years experience
- (Biomedical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering preferred)
- Skills in conceptual design
- Design software skills (preferably Solid works) as well as proficiency with word processors, spreadsheets, presentations, etc.
- Ability to reason, analyze, and apply mathematics
- A good ability to innovate
- Attentiveness and creativity
- Ability to solve problems
- The ability to conduct good research
- The ability to organize well
- Having the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities at once
- Answers requests for assistance in a professional, courteous, and confident way

- Designing and maintaining rapid prototypes using 3D printers
- Complies with 21 CFR Part 4 and/or the EU Medical Device Directive and 21 CFR 820 and FDA Design Control Regulations relating to combination products or medical devices
- Travel 25% of the time is required.
- It is essential that this position is performed regularly onsite. However, it may be conducted remotely or remotely from a distance temporarily.
- Be able to multitask across multiple capabilities and functions while simultaneously juggling multiple competing priorities and requirements, including performing site and functional responsibilities, responding to frequent e-mails and phone calls, and attending multiple meetings and conference calls. You should be aware that these activities are not necessarily tied to core hours or presence on the site.
- Working under strict deadlines is a must and you must be able to manage them effectively.
- Working hours that exceed those typically defined as a "regular" workday, such as over the weekend or holidays, is required.
