Responsibility:
- To play a crucial role in Nike's Enterprise Data & Analytics capability development, we are seeking a highly motivated Engineering Manager. Your role will be to lead the team developing new business capabilities and solutions for NIKE's various businesses. You are an aspirational leader with the ability to motivate teams in ambiguous situations to successful outcomes.
- In addition to current, hands-on coding skills, the candidate should be an excellent communicator and relationship builder.
- Develop innovative and high-quality solutions while assisting developers to continuously improve their engineering skills.
- You will encourage the adoption of new technologies and develop new skills by setting an example for your team. The successful candidate is a proven engineering leader with excellent communication and relationship building skills.
- 5 years of management or leadership experience
- Skilled at leading teams and cultivating positive relationships in product management and engineering.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development
- An understanding of fast-paced, results-oriented environments
- An approach to solving complex problems with ambiguous requirements that is practical
- A familiarity with batch and streaming paradigms in developing data products.
- Expertise with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud platforms is a plus
- Knowledge of data warehousing tools including Amazon Redshift, Snowflake
- Knowledge of MySQL databases, such as Dynamo DB
- Working knowledge of EMR, Data Bricks, etc.
- Knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow
- Knowledge of Python or Scale programming as well as Spark, Presto, HIVE, etc.
- Work experience with data warehousing, data modeling, governance, and data architecture
- Knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Quick sight and other reporting and analytical tools is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience learning new skills and technologies
- Bachelor's degree in a computer science, business, information systems, or related subject area
