We are searching for talented Business Intelligence Engineers (BIEs), Business Analysts, Business Data Engineers, and Data Scientists with expertise in inventory planning, distribution, and optimization to provide the best experience to our customers while minimizing costs. Our member teams in Amazon India's Supply Chain & Analytics have an opportunity to become thought leaders in supply chain by working on some of the most challenging issues with the best research scientists, software developers, and business leaders in the industry, helping to build our roadmap for long-term profitability. This is a new(ish) team aiming to build new analyses from the ground up, propose new concepts and technologies, and find several BIEs who enjoy and excel at diving into data to identify root causes and implement long-term solutions.
The BIE/BA/DE will work closely with software developers, research scientists, and product managers to analyze huge data sets, identify areas to improve, develop metrics, and most importantly, work with different stakeholders to improve programs over time. You will also collaborate with internal teams on tackling complex business tasks such as extracting information from existing systems to produce new analysis, as well as using intuitive ways to present data from our organization to wider teams. If you're an embedded BIE, BA, or DE, you have the opportunity to shape program development and leverage your technical skills. As this position has high visibility and high impact within the organization, it enables opportunities for influence.
Applicants must demonstrate exceptional analytical thinking skills, the ability to readily conceptualize, prototype, and deliver solutions to large ambiguous problems. As well as handling transportation, operations, finance, and category teams, you will also work closely with team members across the inventory platform (software) and operations teams. Candidate success requires efficiency and a desire to work in highly stressful environments, fostering creative problem solving, measuring and estimating risks, constructively criticizing peer research, importing and modifying data across multiple data marts, and aligning research to Amazon's strategic priorities.
Reporting analysts are not needed as we are not a reporting team. Our company seeks people who are able to recognize trends and patterns while correlating them to business problems. Primary Responsibilities:
You will perform complex data analyses (root cause analysis, correlations, regressions, simulations, optimizations) to identify different opportunities to reduce ship costs, increase fill rate, lower inbound costs, improve perfect order percentage, and determine priorities to improve them.
You will be responsible for end-to-end program Not only will you develop insights, but you will devise realistic plans and work with key stakeholders (software managers, product managers, retail business managers, sellers, transportation planners/managers, and warehouse managers) to implement them. XX million dollars in real bottom line savings or YY million dollars in top line revenue will be your goal. The responsibility involved in the assignment goes beyond "recommendations" to actual changes made to the bottom line or top line.
You will collaborate with senior leadership on the formulation of new concepts, improvement plans, and 3-year strategies.

Secondary Responsibilities
You will establish and monitor key performance indicators to provide strategic insights to drive growth and performance.
In order to respond quickly to critical business questions, you will build infrastructure and implement maintenance strategies for internal datasets. Once you have the money (Amazon frugality! ), you can identify what tools and dashboards the team should acquire to extract the data.
Working with large data sets, automating data extraction, and building self-service, automated BI solutions, you will build self-serve monitoring and reporting dashboards. Metrics or workarounds that are not of value are not developed.
Up skills team members in data management and analytic skills by working with program managers, junior/peer analysts, and senior managers.,k
