Key Qualifications:
- Patent attorneys and agents who are registered with the Patent Office.
- Over 5 years' experience drafting and prosecuting patent assets, managing portfolios, developing patent strategies, conducting patent analyses, and supporting transactions and litigation.
- Technology experience in the field of wellness and health. Expertise in patenting electronics and software is desirable.
- Writing and verbal communication should be effective.
Description:
- The position will assist in the development and duration of the company's patent portfolio for health, wellness, and fitness. As part of the team, you will assist in developing and strategically pursuing the patent portfolios for the company's global operations.
- This includes identifying patentable inventions; securing high-quality, strategic patent assets; providing expert technical and legal analysis; handling patent challenges; providing guidance in support of patent transactions and licensing matters; assigning and managing work performed by outside law firms; and working with engineering and other business organizations to understand priorities and challenges.
- Additionally, the incumbent will provide cross-functional support for acquisition due diligence, IP licensing, enforcement, and litigation activities.
Education & Experience:
- Registered with the USPTO and a BS degree in Biomedical engineering,
- Mechanical engineering,
- Electrical engineering,
- Computer science, or
- Physics is required. A JD is preferred.
