Description:

By managing the long-term relationship between Amazon and our 3PL service providers in the UAE, you will play an important role in developing a leadership position for Amazon in MENA. In this role, you will be in regular contact with our carriers and internal stakeholders, which is why you will need to enjoy exposure and negotiation.

In addition, you will be responsible for dealing with challenging operations issues that will require deep analysis of our distribution network, and you will be required to implement solutions that will influence both short- and long-term operations.

Your responsibilities are enhancing our Fulfillment Network (and addressing the inevitable challenges that come with constant, rapid expansion) by driving improvements to complex logistics problems, taking on strategic initiatives, and managing innovative projects.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts performance management metrics reviews (cost, speed, quality, etc.) for outbound transportation and develops improvement plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with carriers, fulfillment centers, and customer service teams to improve customer experience, costs, and processes.
• Prepare and lead Ops calls, daily business reviews, WBRs, MBRs, and QBRs with our 3PL carriers
• Advises the Amazon leadership team proactively of critical situations, along with the expected impact and mitigation actions planned.
• Produces and communicates transportation plans/forecasts on a regular basis
• Coordinates and manages escalations related to transportation
• Conducts root-cause analysis and implements corrective actions with the causing party to improve service, reduce costs, or resolve problems
• Drives innovation by taking ownership of new projects and its operational success

Basic Qualification:

A degree in Business, Economics, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics or similar field · Relevant experience in Transportation or Supply Chain, preferably in a similar role, within a high-volume logistics, manufacturing or engineering environment · Excellent customer service skills and commercial understanding · Ability to drive complex analysis, and making data driven decisions · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Simplifying complex topics for a broad audience. Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Fluent written and spoken English , Fluent computer skills Proficiency in Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps)

Preferred Qualification:

Degrees of at least master's level are preferred. 

Fluency in written and spoken Arabic Hands-on experience or knowledge of operations and supply chain management concepts such as forecasting, planning, optimization, and logistics. SQL  Advanced
