About the role:
We are seeking talented Technical Product Owners to join our organization across multiple divisions, including Enterprise IT, Healthcare, Corporate and Retail.
Technical Product Owners (TPOs) work with Business Leaders in developing the IT Portfolio (IT Roadmap) for the business unit, aligned with its strategic goals. They are the main contact for the business unit. Furthermore, the Technical Product Owner manages the technical aspects of the product development alongside the Product Owner/Manager, acting as a link between the business and development teams, grooming requirements and assisting in backlog ordering, creation and communication.
Key accountabilities:
- Technical Solution Envisioning and Relationship Management
- To become fully integrated into decision-making and to drive the business strategic priorities, build strong partnerships with business unit leadership (business domain) and other key stakeholders
- Assist and advise the Product Owner on key technical decisions and contribute to the development of the House of Quality (HoQ) / Product Backlog (Epic)
- Defining, managing, and accepting user stories with business product owners
- Participate in the RFX process, evaluating a vendor's capabilities and recommendations
- Ensure that the solution is aligned with the business requirements by evaluating it
- Develop business cases, operating model changes, solutions, business buy-in, and integrate into planning and budgeting
- Improve the performance of the business by bringing in new ideas and innovate
- Ensure that a proper Product Backlog and User Story is prepared by the Product Owner

- By getting approval from the Digital Subcommittee, the Business Case was successful
- Delivering technical solutions
- Working with the Principal Engineer on solution definition and architecture development (including phase-out plans)
- Support the Program Manager and Scrum Master/Project Manager in the development of program/project plans
- Participate in sprint planning and answer all technical questions
- Support the Product Manager with the development of the Product Backlog and be responsible for User Stories that meet DOR (definition of ready), in particular:
- Here is a breakdown of user stories
- Defining the acceptance criteria for User Stories
- UX/UI, High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) references
- Contribute to the improvement of processes, procedures, methodologies, and tools for delivering solutions
- In traditional projects, preparing the Business Requirements Document (BRD) is a key task
- Clear acceptance criteria and properly broken down user stories
- Documents describing business requirements (BRDs) properly prepared
Candidate requirements
Education:
Degree in Computer Science/IT/Engineering/Science or any degree Relavant Experience.
Minimum Experience and Knowledge:
- IT Experience of 5-7 years
- Business Domain Experience of 3-5 years
- Work experience in an Agile or SCRUM environment, including the conduct of Design Thinking workshops.
- Strong knowledge of UX design, mobile and website development, etc.
- An understanding of how similar roles work
Job-Specific Skills:
Retail/Automotive/Finance/Treasure/Insurance/Banking/Real Estate business operating model and experience; Vertical business system, technology and related best practice knowledge
