Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City (HBKMC) is currently recruiting for the role of Biomedical Engineer to perform repair, calibration, preventive maintenance, and inspection of Biomedical Equipment for reliable and accurate test results and function This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding organization and to work with state of the art medical equipment
The incumbent will be required to perform the following duties and responsibilities
Maintain, calibrate, adjust and commission Biomedical Equipment
Formulate update technical specification compliance checklist for new acquisitions of Biomedical Equipment
Tender in liaison with the Head of BM Equipment Group against end-user recommended selection and ensure equipments safety compliance prior to ordering
Perform and schedule preventive maintenance and repairs, and calibrate using precise tools and in accordance with the manufactures procedures to ensure the accuracy of test results and using IPM check list
Demonstrate explain the operation of equipment to the end-user in order to be aware of the correct usage
Install inspect new medical equipment to be sure it is ready for use before it hand over to end-user
Attend planned training sessions relating to specific on new equipment introduced
Maintain up to date records, write reports on designated equipment, and coordinate with Co Service Engineers on external warranty repairs
Ensures stock level spare parts are adequate, including technical manuals, for fast response on repair maintenance
Ensures correct workshop practices and safe working environment within the workshop spaceincluding use of tools and equipment
Assists with the supervision of the IDPs for developees and technician (university students) within the section and organize training
Complies with HMC policies and procedures; and in particular infection control, safety and quality management,Performs other duties as requested
