Introduction

A leading energy company is seeking a Commercial Asset Manager to oversee the financial and commercial performance of operating solar and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. This role is responsible for financial reporting, revenue reconciliation, and stakeholder management, ensuring assets perform efficiently and profitably. You'll work closely with AEMO, banks, investors, and O&M teams to optimize project returns and maintain compliance.

About this role
  • Oversee financial reporting and analysis for operating renewable energy assets.
  • Manage invoice reconciliation with AEMO, ensuring accurate revenue tracking.
  • Work closely with banks and investors, providing financial updates and performance reports.
  • Collaborate with O&M teams to monitor operational performance and optimize asset profitability.
  • Support compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain and improve financial models to track asset performance.
  • Assist in contract management, ensuring obligations are met for operating assets.
Requirements:
  • Experience in financial reporting, asset management, or commercial operations within renewable energy, energy markets, or infrastructure.
  • Understanding of AEMO settlement processes, PPA structures, and energy market regulations.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, with experience in invoicing, revenue reconciliation, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Ability to manage relationships with banks, investors, and O&M teams.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools (Excel, SAP, or similar).
  • Degree in finance, commerce, economics, engineering, or a related field preferred.
