Job Description:
  • Saudi Aramco is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Unconventional Resources Operations Department(UROD).
  • The UROD is responsible for operating all the surface facilities, which include the field wells and processingfacilities.
  • Your primary role as an Electrical Engineer in an unconventional asset will be to provide professional advice andguidance regarding electrical systems, schemes, equipment or techniques, facility designs and solutions tooperating and maintenance problems. You will have a thorough understanding of plant operations, specializedexperience in electrical high voltage and low voltage systems for large scale complex electrical distributionsystem. In addition, you will have experience in power reliability analysis for electrical distribution systemswhich involves carrying out power system studies using software like ETAP etc.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day technical support to Operations and Maintenance Units to troubleshoot and fix electricalsystems including reporting and documentation.
  • Provide expert advice and assistance to design, construction, maintenance engineers and operation personnelon all matters related to electrical systems.
  • Develop engineering conceptual plans for the new installation and upgrade projects including development ofwork scopes, calculations and detailed technical specifications.
  • Review Project Proposals and Detailed Designs packages for new facilities.
  • Develop and maintain the UR engineering standards and design best practices.
  • Participate on the testing & commissioning of the new facilities and Turnaround and Inspection (T&I).
  • Update and maintain engineering documentation and drawings.
  • Analyze system performance and find solution for Energy saving.
  • Provide analysis, evaluation and interpretation in support of projects, processes, and financing related to SaudiAramco capital investment decisions.
  • Maintain and expand on contacts within the industry.
  • Regularly interact with other professionals in various company organizations involved in capital planning andeconomic analysis.
Minimum Requirements
  • A bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. A higher degree is preferred. A Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration is desirable but is not essential.
  • Minimum of 15 years working experience in Electrical engineering, with at least years experience in the field of Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Knowledge of industry codes and standards, such as NFPA, ANSI IEEE, IEC, API, NEC, NACE and others.
  • Experience with specifications and data sheets for Electrical equipment like EHV GIS/AIS Switchgear, Power Transformers, large synchronous/induction motors, HV/LV Switchgears and Control gears, EHV/HV/LV Cables, Bus ducts, EHV GIBs, UPS, Battery Charger, NGR, Panel boards is a requirement.
  • Experience in electrical engineering calculations like Grounding/Earthing, Battery charger/Battery sizing, Transformer sizing, Cable sizing, Electrical Load schedules, Lighting. Also knowledge of Electrical Power system studies including Short Circuit, Load Flow analysis, Motor starting, Arc Flash Hazard studies, Relay coordination and setting using software like ETAP is essential.
  • You must be willing to work in remote areas depending on the project or task assignments.
