Job Description:
The Site Electrical Inspector will assist the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistance Resident Engineer (ARE) in Electrical Works and will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and equipment on site comply with the relevant Project specifications, standards/regulations, Shop drawing and Method of Construction/Installation . He will inspect and test electrical systems, components, and equipment to identify and address any issues or faults.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct regular inspections and tests of electrical installations and equipment on site.
- Ensure compliance with local and international electrical standards and regulations.
- Identify and report any electrical faults or issues and make recommendations for repair or replacement.
- Verify the quality of electrical workmanship and materials used on site.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and findings.
- Review and approve electrical submittals and shop drawings.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and contractors to ensure that electrical work is completed to schedule and budget.
- Provide guidance and support to site personnel on electrical safety procedures and practices.
- Attend regular site meetings with project teams to report on progress and address any issues or concerns related to Electrical works/network
What Required Skills You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in electrical engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience as an electrical inspector in a consultancy or engineering environment for Infrastructural Projects
- Familiarity with electrical systems and equipment, including power, lighting, low voltage, and other electrical systems in Abu Dhabi local authority.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with inspection and testing plans and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications
