Job Description:

• Performs complex engineering assignments, involving product design, testing and preparation of specifications, process studies, or research investigations using appropriate tools and techniques
• Under guidance from project leader utilize DFSS concepts / tools such as PDSC, P-Diagram, DFMEA, Risk Management & DVPR for new product development &/or existing product improvements, GB certified candidate preffered.
• Execute proto-type build, performance / durability testing, teardown of proto-type samples to evaluate product performance against customer requirements for concept level ideas as well as detailed design before product launch
• Utilizes understanding of manufacturing processes to improve new and existing designs & acts as a technical resource for internal stakeholders and resolve technical challenges
• Utilizes experience of engineering drawing fundamentals, CAD tools and GD&T to create complex 3D models and drawings. Knowledge of Pro-E is preferred.
• Maintain credible communication practice with internal stakeholders and project team on technical clarifications, testing & resolving of field failures
• Collaborate with cross functional team for successful execution of product design across all stages of product development process per PRO-Launch
• Job Responsibilities
• The primary responsibility of this role is to mechanical design and develop power electronic components and systems to meet customer specific technical, cost and market related technology requirement of Commercial & Passenger car applications.
• Applicant shall have experience in design, development and validation of electric vehicle components and systems for automotive OEMs.
• Applicant must be proficient with performing analytical design calculations, good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack up analysis, electro-Mechanical design calculation, thermal management of electro-mechanical components and manufacturing methods involving casting, forging, sheet-metal components & Plastic injection molding.
• Candidate should have knowledge of automotive market, technology trends in electric vehicle in commercial & passenger vehicle segment.
• Candidate should be able to participate in defining engineering requirements by understanding customer voice and application.
• The candidate must be self-motivated and possess good communication skills with cross functional team namely engineering, manufacturing, project management, marketing and supply chain.

Qualifications
Requirement:

• BE/BS in Mechanical or related engineering area with 6+ years or ME/M.Tech in Mechanical or related engineering area with 4+ years of engineering/product design experience in relevant domain.
• '6+ years with BE/BS & 4+ years expirence with ME / MS
• Proven track record in engineering Design, Analysis, R&D, application engineering domain.
• Knowledge about Electro – Mechanical product design, electric vehicle architecture, thermal management of electronic products & design evaluation criteria for electronic design.
• Experience in handling Design for Manufacturing, DFMEA & DVPR
• Experience in projects involving significant amount of CAD, FEA, CFD & System modeling along with exposure to PLM softwares like ENOVIA
