Job Description:
Our client is a global financial services trading platform and they are expanding their presence in the UAE.
We are recruiting a senior PHP backend developer who can code in Agile, Scrum and Kanban environments to join their team in Sharjah.
Candidates with experience in FinTech, financial services, FOREX, FX trading software development will have a strong advantage.
Role Summary
- Develop of new features for different client facing and internal systems.
- Support and refactoring of legacy code.
- Design and review solutions.
- Proof of concepts research.
- Document processes and prepare reports.
Mandatory Skills & Experience
- Development in PHP 7 and PHP 8
- SOLID principles and knowledge of design patterns;
- Modern frameworks – Symfony and Laravel
- MySQL - understanding how indexes and transactions work, ability to optimize queries
- ActiveMQ/RabbitMQ/Kafka AMQP queues
- Git (Gitflow) and Composer
- REST or SOAP
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Unix command line, CI/CD, server-side frameworks
- Ability to work with cache Memcached and Redis
- Understanding how Docker and Kubernetes works.
Candidate Profile
- Currently living in the United Arab Emirates – must be able to work in Sharjah.
- Fluent in English.
- Professional appearance, style of communication and interpersonal skills.
Education
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology
