Markon Solutions is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work with our government client on a new embassy compound.

Job Description:

• Develops a working knowledge of all technical requirements of the project.
• Ensures the quality of ongoing construction projects.
• Review submittals from contractors.
• Prepares answers to Requests for Information (RFI) related to engineering.
• Review and make recommendations to the Project Director regarding proposed submittal substitutions.
• Coordinates the creation of Independent Government Estimates (IGEs) for modifications and change orders.
• From an engineering perspective, analyze and evaluate design calculations and data.
• Produces monthly progress reports summarizing project status, with an emphasis on engineering.
• Prepares recommendations for consideration by the Project Director based on contractor's Requests for Equitable Adjustment.
• As assigned by the project director, perform other related duties.

Job Requirements:

• Mechanical Engineering degrees are required.
• It is preferred, but not required, to have a professional registration.
• Must have Final Secret, Interim Top Secret (TS), or Final TS security clearance issued by the Defense Security Service at the time of proposal. Must be able to obtain a Final TS security clearance with DS granted Acceptability Review (AR) before deployment.
• Knowledge of International Codes required.
• Proof of COVID vaccination may be required
