Overview
You will use your software development education and experience to build and release Esri software technologies related to GIS, photogrammetry, and remote sensing. Working with a talented team of software developers and product engineers, you will create, develop, test, and release advanced software technologies aimed at imaging users. Join us in creating the world's best geospatial mapping and data analysis platform. Join a fast-paced agile team that works with the latest technologies and patterns, asynchronous programming, and MVVM to design and develop Esri's next-generation software.
Responsibilities:
- Develop raster and imagery-focused solutions in ArcGIS Pro
- Develop solutions as a C#, WPF, and C++ expert, writing scalable, reusable, and maintainable code
- Develop and build software components, frameworks, and SDKs for other teams and external developers that consume our APIs
- Develop software components that follow industry-standard design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models
- Troubleshoot and fix software problems
- Working with other programmers and developers across teams during the development process
Requirements:
- Developing commercial software using Microsoft C# and WPF for at least two years
- C++ experience
- Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, and design patterns
- Analyze, describe, and propose solutions to problems clearly
- The ability to work closely with software developers, product engineers, and documentation writers to create quality software in an agile environment that is constantly evolving
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Working in a fast-paced, challenging environment
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field
Recommended Qualifications:
- Experience with Esri products or similar GIS or spatial software
- Understanding of the MVVM application design pattern
- Extensive experience with data analysis, and data visualization, particularly in the area of communicating analytical results as interactive, informative, charts, etc.
- Knowledge of Arc Objects
- Experience developing and releasing commercial software products
