Job Description:

ANSTO Nuclear Medicine (ANM) is a manufacturing facility, making Molybdenum-99 (Mo99) for domestic and international supply. Mo99 is the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) used in the production of radiopharmaceuticals for medical imaging and diagnosis.

The maintenance unit within ANM is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician - Electrical / Instrumentation.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance activities as directed in the ANM Mo-99 facility in a timely manner, on schedule and ensure ongoing compliance with safety, regulatory and statutory requirements, including but not limited to ARPANSA and TGA. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to undertake preventative and corrective maintenance. This includes equipment assembly, test, installation, instrument calibrations, commissioning equipment and monitoring the spare parts for use in ANM Mo-99 facility as well as preparing and maintaining maintenance documentation.

Your Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance activities as per schedule
  • Work with Operations and Engineering teams to troubleshoot problems and present novel solutions which are aimed at reducing costs, increasing reliability, expanding capability and maintaining product quality
  • Apply theoretical knowledge and practical experience to analyse and develop solutions to unforeseen technical or other production issues
  • Contribute, using technical knowledge and experience, to maintenance systems and development projects to enhance the production facility in a continuous improvement environment. Assist in implementation of agreed enhancements as required
  • Perform duties within a highly regulated environment using procedures, instructions, and standards, and conforming to ARPANSA, ISO, GMP and TGA
  • Develop, complete and review maintenance documentation (SAP work orders, records, SWMES, work instructions,etc)
  • Writing technical and calibration reports
