The world is 1.1 °C warmer today than in pre-industrial times, and although the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a decrease in CO₂ emissions, global warming remains on the wrong trajectory. According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, a 1.5 °C increase in global average surface temperature will have devastating consequences for our planet, causing extreme weather events, rising sea levels, and climatic changes. The temperature increase is largely caused by the growing concentration of CO₂ in the atmosphere, and energy production and usage remain the primary emitter. It is therefore abundantly clear that urgent change is needed in the world’s energy mix. For instance, according to the International Energy Agency, a 40 percent reduction in emissions by 2030 will require nearly 75 percent of global electricity generation to come from low-emission sources by this time.
To change our planet’s trajectory, the most cost-effective and immediate path to meaningful emissions reduction is large-scale deployment of renewable energy. However, as the penetration of renewable electricity increases, this alone will not be enough to avoid a temperature increase above 1.5 °C. We must therefore address the following three challenges:

Job Description:
Do you have experience in providing high-quality technical documentation in a complex working environment? Can you create flawless, reusable, and simplified technical documentation for the transportation and construction of wind turbines? Then you might be our candidate for this exciting position!
The role of the Transport & Construction Documentation department is to ensure that the technical documentation package is created and maintained in the expected quality and in time for other documentation departments to publish and translate the documents to our internal stakeholders as well as to our customers in time, quality, and right format.
Responsibilities
- Create consistent DITA-compliant content & ensure that content is ready for localization
- Create target audience specific information based on end-user analysis
- Ensure alignment, validation, and review process for documentation with relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with existing style guide and other task relevant guidelines
- Ensure alignment with Vestas-specific terminology and the STE100 standard
- Define and maintain Vestas’s taxonomy and metadat
- Minimum 5 years of documented experience with similar tasks
- Solid communication skills in English both spoken and in written
- Experience with content management systems & writing simplified technical english content
- Experience with writing DITA compliant content & knowledge of Windchill / Arbor-text
- Enthusiastic, motivated, interviewing, listening skills & work in a structured way
- Work with no supervision, yet at the same time you are a solid team member
- Take ownership of deliverables and knowledge of the wind turbine domain and specifically offshore, is a solid advantage
- It will be required that you are a good planner, and at the same time can initiate, guide, and complete different work assignments in a freely manner
- Undertaking the many different work assignments, you need to have an action minded and innovative behavior
- To achieve results, you can work in a team or as an individual, hence requiring great collaboration, communication & stakeholder management skills
- Besides these competencies, you also possess a natural ability to focus on quality and detail
- Finally, you are fluent in English - in writing and speaking
