- Testing and process system development for new product introductions, productivity / process enhancement projects - including concept definition, architecture definition, documentation, including design specifications, supplier interface, manufacturing introduction, and customer service.
- Lead the test / process system development on any industry standard test platform including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service.
- Designing product interface fixtures to fulfil product test requirements by identifying hardware in the test/process equipment system.
- Creating requirements and software/system design, verification & validation activities for System & Software in conjunction with engineering teams.
- Ensure early focus on manufacturability in NPI and/or Advanced Technology programs. Process capability assessment, process layout, tooling/equipment development, and QMS Design Transfer should be conducted with rigor
- Qualification and validation ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure rigor in all phases of the validation process, including the development of plans and analysis criteria, execution, and final analysis and acceptance
- Work with systems teams to develop requirements and software/system designs
- Responsible for the software development lifecycle, leveraging Agile and Lean software development methodologies to drive reliability upstream in the development process
- Ensure consistency and maximize synergies across common software platforms by interacting with global teams
- Participate in technical discussions; present technical ideas
- Drive design reviews, define interfaces between code modules, and apply existing technologies to designs
- Monitoring and improving productivity through the use of Lean Six Sigma or other tools, while meeting all customer commitments in a timely, cost-effective, and quality manner
- Influencing cross-functional teams to implement quality measures
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics & Electrical Engineering with 4+ years experience in development of automated test / process systems.
- Having experience with National Instruments Labview & NI Test Stand Emerson (GE) PLC systems will be an asset. Experience with SCADA implementation will also be beneficial.
- It is preferable to have a MTech in power electronics or control systems
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated test / process systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience developing test system documentation deliverables such as BOM, schematics, detailed design documents, qualification protocols, user manuals, etc.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects or programs
- Business Acumen certification in Lean and Six Sigma.
- Ability to solve problems and articulate specific technical topics or assignments
- Building scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Expert in breaking down problems and estimating development time
- Evangelizes our technology as a way to solve customer problems from a technology and business perspective
- Worked through limited information and vague problem definitions with clarity of thought
- Building direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas through others
- Identifies and removes obstacles to the project on behalf of the team
- Establishes trust, credibility, and goodwill by sharing knowledge, power, and credit.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leadership with confidence and clarity
- Work well with global teams, including time zone flexibility
- Experienced in providing oversight and mentoring to team members and contractors.
