INOPC (Hitachi ABB Power Grids Operations Center) is a competence center with approximately 1500 engineers specialized in engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, and installation supervision. It has emerged as a major engineering hub in the last decade. Power Grids business transformation program Power Up includes the India Operations Centre. In Chennai, the INOPC team supports Hitachi ABB Power Grid's units across more than 40 countries across all four business units in Power Grid. The team has completed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries to date.
Your responsibilities:
- To begin the service activities, ensure that the equipment is completely isolated (through LOTO)Ensure that only authorized personnel have access to the area where the equipment is being serviced. Ice.
- Assessing the risks involved at the site in meeting the milestones and reporting them to the relevant authorities well in advance.
- Compile a list of tools and tackles required for service activities based on product and project configurations.
- A specific time frame is agreed with the customer for the completion of the service activities.
- Implementing our internal SAT protocols & practices and documenting them according to ISO standards.
- Preparation of nonconformities found in our product/site materials at any stage of implementation and reporting to the responsible project/site manager.
- Ensure the results of SAT are in line with our internal protocols and cross check them with factory routine tests (FRT) and factory acceptance tests (FAT) if necessary.
- Send the site corrected/red marked drawings to the engineering department for as-built preparation.
- Hand over the PASS equipment to customers with proper documentation in a ready-to-use state.
- Maintaining the core values of safety and integrity means taking responsibility for your own actions and caring for your colleagues and the business.
Your background:
- Bachelors/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- Two to seven years of experience servicing, installing, testing, and commissioning high voltage GIS or PASS (66kV and above).
- Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc
