Project Description:
Haemonetics has a broad portfolio of apheresis disposables currently in the market. With the upcoming transition to MDR (Medical Device Regulation) in the EU, many of these disposables need to be updated to comply with changing regulations and international standards. One particular standard, Correct Connect (ISO 18250-8), is affecting Haemonetics disposables throughout our apheresis portfolio, from commercial plasma collection, to RBC and platelet collection, even into therapeutic apheresis applications.
Project Deliverables:
This intern will join ongoing efforts to implement the Correct Connect standard. They will be personally responsible for:
- Assignment of tasks related to the development and design verification of apheresis disposables
- Maintaining the project plan, updating product documentation, and assisting with costing.
- Completion of Enterprise Resource Planning system documentation and creation of BOMs.
Education:
- Undergraduate with major in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Materials Engineering.
