- Design and develop IVD assays from definition to manufacturing.
- Develop, optimize, and implement pilot manufacturing and quality control processes for liquid-based and lyophilized reagents and controls.
- Establish and maintain development documentation, including but not limited to product requirements, design descriptions, test plans, test protocols, and test summary reports. Analyze and interpret test results.
- Integration of assay designs with hardware and software subsystems is a requirement for other R&D groups.
- Propose improvements and adaptations to methodologies, processes, products, and systems for specific projects.
- Present technical findings at scientific/engineering meetings.
- Select solutions to problems of broad scope and complexity using methods and techniques within the confines of generally established practices and policies.
- Keep abreast of technical developments in the field.
- Be sure to follow safety guidelines and good laboratory practices.
- Implementing 'customer-first' mindsets to support products and manufacturing on-market, as well as support product launch activities.
- Planning and scheduling complex projects, and being able to oversee their completion.
- 3-5 years’ of Product Development experience with MS in engineering, life sciences, or related discipline or 6-8 years’ related experience with BS in engineering, life sciences, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of coagulation biochemistry, clinical applications and in-vitro diagnostics (IVD) is highly desired, or one year of experience in IVD development under design control.
- Experience with Medical Devices or Pharma is required. The candidate should have advanced training and education in biomedical engineering and chemical engineering.

- Ability to analyze, quantify, and solve problems effectively.
- Experience in IVD development under design control of at least one year.

- Must be willing to adapt to change, open to learning new skills, and tolerant of change.
