Job Description:
- The Design Engineer-PCB will act as an electrical designer specializing is printed circuit board design for Toshiba's adjustable speed drive and uninterruptible power supply product lines.The individual contributor will be responsible for drawing artwork, mechanical, assembly documents and additional activities include support of manufacturing, field service, marketing and validation on a proactive basi.the Ideal candidate will be capable of taking a hand drawn schematic or concept and deliver a fully assembled PCBA.The candidate should have recent experience in product with high voltage, high current, high speed, high density boards.
- Supporting new product development through excellence in PCB layout and schematic capture using mentor Graphics PADS layout V9.5--VX.0 and orCAD schematic capture 17.2--17.4
- Managing project and maintaining product documentation using Excel,word and ms office tools.
- Sustaining engineering for current product current IPC and UL standard.
- Preparing, checking,maintaining schematics PCB artwork and assembly drawing and bill of materials.
- Performing other related duties as assigned by management
- Focus on interfacing with the vendors and suppliers.
- Meet the vendors regarding new product design equipment and end-of-life part
- Be familiar with technology trends.
- Bs degree in Electronics/computer or electronic technology engineering or related descipline
- 3-5 experience in PCB layout with a minimum of 2-6 layer designs autocad, electrical theory and thermal analysis
- Experience in high power PCB layout with voltage creepage/clearance high speed, high density, surface mount technology (SMT) and thru hole digital and analog mixed technology
- Basic knowledge of IPC PCB design particies
- CAD schematic capture 17.2 and above
- Intermediate to expert knowledge cadence
- Knowledge in using cadence Allegro 16.6 PCB designer.
- Knowledge in using CADstar/zuken
- Knowledge of altium designer
- Basic knowledge of UL 840 and UL 61800-5-1 standards.
- Experience in soldering and desoldering
- Intermediate Knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 and above.
- Oracle Microsoft NT/office FEA analytic software autocad,pro/engineer
- Possible exposure to high voltage and radiation
