The Opportunity

Reporting into the Visionaries Manager ANZ, the Product Development Engineer will be responsible to deliver the Visionaries service for knee surgeries with the expected quality in a timely manner implying appropriate customer consulting throughout the entire process.

The Key Focus Areas of the Role

Responsible to deliver the Visionaries service for knee surgery with the expected quality in a timely manner implying appropriate customer consulting throughout the entire process:
  • Perform full pre-surgery planning adapted for the individual patient anatomy.
  • Design patient-specific cutting guides based on patient MRI and X-ray data using CAD.
  • Evaluate and answer consumer requests.
  • Perform conference calls with surgeons to discuss their specific surgical preferences and advice to optimize the surgery outcome.
  • Check and approve the result of the preceding teams before proceeding.
  • Ensure smooth data transfer and proper internal process flow through communication with the international Visionaries team (US & India) and the production site.
  • Documentation management, including quality assurance.
  • Support marketing activities, enable market entry, and present to an interdisciplinary and highly educated audience.
The Requirements of the Successful Candidate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics or other related engineering field.
  • Technical background with a strong marketing orientation
  • Understanding of patient anatomy and state-of-the-art TKA procedures
  • MRI & X-ray images well understood
  • Working independently, team-minded, and solid social and presentation skills
  • Reliable, resilient, and interested in fostering relationships with international clients
  • Travel willingness of up to 20%
