Job Description:
How you will proceed
As a Material Handler, you will be based in Oman and report directly to the Operations Team Leader, Service & Maintenance Oman. Our Fire system service and maintenance team will be looking after receiving of goods/ materials into stores and will ensure safe offloading of materials/ goods from storage shelves / transport / vehicles.
As a Material Handler you will be accountable to check goods received are in line with supplier delivery note / packing list / invoice and the company purchase order, and to record the results of inspection / observed discrepancies on the supplier delivery note / packing list / invoice or company purchase order, as applicable and guaranteeing necessary material certificates / test reports are accompanied with received materials and to coordinate with supplier for the provision of missing documents, if any.

What you will do
The Material Handler will advise Sales/Accounts/Project staff about the receipt of materials in stores, as applicable, and will distribute weekly WIP material lists and monthly inventory lists to all concerned, as applicable, and will work closely with Operation Leader on day-to-day warehouse functions. It is your responsibility to arrange delivery of materials to the project site, along with a delivery note and any necessary material certificates. You will be responsible for checking and returning damaged/ unwanted goods back to suppliers and raising non-conformity reports for significant non-conformities observed in materials received from suppliers for QAQC/projects/procurement to take corrective measures / prevent recurrence.
Maintaining records related to receipt, issue, receipt / delivery inspections & inventory management, as applicable, and coordinating with QHSE / project staff / customer representative for needed material inspections prior to delivery of materials from stores to sites / customer premises, as applicable.
You will schedule periodic stock counts, maintain stock counting records, and protect materials from any damage / deterioration while they are stored in stores. You will also ensure calibrated inspection, measuring, and testing equipment is used in stores. In coordination with other departments of the company, you will deliver goods on time to meet customer demands. Regularly updating records on systems and sharing the updated data with sales and projects staff.
You will understand the company Quality & HSE requirements and participate in QHSE meetings and training programs and assist HSE officer to ensure Health, safety and Reporting and apparent nonconformance are effective environmental controls. Your excellent planning and time management skills allow you to handle multiple priorities simultaneously because you are determined and consistent in your approach.

- Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years' experience in handling store/warehouse related functions for HVAC, Fire, BMS, and Security systems within the GCC region
- Excel-savvy
- Experience handling reports and communications in a concise manner
- Fluency in English is a must
- Knowledge of fire and gas equipment
- Knowledge of gas suppression system refilling procedures
