Job Description:
A brief overview
Delivers operational, maintenance, and networking support to customers based on product and customer knowledge. Supports and maintains Canon Solutions America supported products in accordance with the current Service and Parts Standards in conjunction with Service Managers and other Technicians.
Roles and responsibilities
- By using established procedures, diagnoses basic mechanical, software, network and system failures.
- Repairs and services designated equipment in accordance with Canon specifications.
- Knowledge and aptitude of multiple product groups. Troubleshooting and diagnostics are included in this section.
- Field/Shop/on-site maintenance that is efficient, responsive, and accurate.
- Responsible for maintaining all technical information, FSRs, expense reports, and Canon property assigned.
- - Maintains all technical information and Canon property assigned and provides direction to less experienced technicians.
- - Provides solutions for escalated technical and/or customer service problems in any territory.
Qualifications
- An associate's degree in electronics or electrical engineering from an accredited college or technical school, or equivalent experience.
- 1 to 2 years of related experience.
- Have a basic understanding of internet environments. Completing the 120-day introductory period and the PDIF new hire training.
- Requires travel (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required.
- Ability to work in a 24x7 environment, perform shift work, and perform on-call rotations.
- Required to take all steps necessary to obtain security clearances and/or other clearances from customers to enter their premises.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be mobile for more than 50% of the time (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling).
