Role:

Responsible and accountable to manage all Multi-Discipline Design, Engineering & Technical Support from front end design through detailed design. He/she shall report directly to the Contract Manager.

Qualification:

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc. /M.Sc. /B.Eng.).
• Membership of an internationally accepted applicable professional institute.

Experience:

• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in design & engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Design and Engineering of large oil and gas projects including power OHL design and construction experience.

General:

• A world-class contractor organization should have the potential for becoming a top-level executive position.
• A good commercial sense and judgments is essential.
• A skillful facilitator, able to summarize and close out pending issues in formal meetings.
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering projects simultaneously while providing technical support.

Specific:

Should have minimum 5 years’ experience in the Design and Engineering of large oil and gas projects.

Personality:

• Communication and interpersonal skills are excellent.
• Form, interrelate, and motivate a team within a matrix-type organization.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Responsible for all phases of Company engineering projects, including design, construction, commissioning, handover, and closure, through all phases.
• Understanding the requirements of the contract quality management system and ensuring these requirements are met.
• Ensure that HSE issues are taken into account when planning and designing a project.
• Ensure all engineering and design work is completed in accordance with Company/International/Shell standards.
• Evaluation and application of new technology are actively pursued in order to optimize future developments in terms of cost and operability.
• In order to accomplish the specified deliverables, develop the scope of work handed over by the Company project engineer for each project.
• The execution of Design Projects and the provision of Technical Support within budget are controlled by Engineering Resources.
• Propose innovative and creative ways to solve or simplify technical problems that could significantly reduce company costs.
