Calculation Services, a part of Wells Fargo's Enterprise Risk Technologies group, is tasked with creating a next-generation platform to eliminate the limitations of legacy infrastructure using cutting-edge data engineering and science tools. A centralized model life cycle platform that covers design, development, validation, and deployment is key to empowering and enabling our risk modelers
- Experienced data engineer with in-depth knowledge of distributed big data systems, data modeling, and coding
- Expertise in implementing and enforcing ETL and metadata management best practices within agile teams.
- Possess proven experience in debugging, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis in enterprise distributed systems
- Expert in API-based architectures and experienced in developing enterprise API platforms that are scalable and responsive.
- I'm very knowledgeable about the Python stack, as well as numerical and distributed Python.
- A sound understanding of solution architecture and the ability to participate in it.
- Business partners and other enterprise technology architects & engineers are involved.
- Create scripts to fulfill the data needs of ML Model Development for data scientists.
- Developing, deploying and managing enterprise data pipelines.
- Software engineering experience of 5+ years
- At least two years' experience with Big Data tools like Spark, Hive, Kafka, and MapReduce
- Over 4 years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse, and analytics solutions to large data sets on the Hadoop platform.
- Develop software using languages like Python, Java, Scala, or R for at least two years
- A technology certification that is industry-standard
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing, and interpersonally
- SAS programming experience in model implementation, reporting, and complex data manipulations
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Partnership and collaboration skills
- Technical and quantitative skills are essential
