This is your role:

Implementing advanced techniques for solving inverse problems within medical imaging (MR, CT, US, X-ray, PET, SPECT, etc.) by performing research, development, and evaluation assignments
Prototyping applications in the medical and customer service domains to create scalable prototypes
Contributing to the publication of top-ranked scientific papers in high-ranking journals/conferences while developing intellectual property and scientific manuscripts
Co-facilitating integration of prototypes inside and outside of existing and new products with senior R&D and business stakeholders
 Identifying and addressing scientific and business challenges that are of interest to the company, and applying problem-solving skills
Siemens LDA has been developing markets, promoting internally, and restructuring its Customer Services division. Field Service Engineers are needed by a world leading supplier of innovative and environmentally friendly products and solutions for industries such as large drives, industrial automation, and control systems.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our team based anywhere on the East Coast of Australia, although Brisbane would be ideal. Our Service Engineer will be required to work with our clients in Queensland and across the border on a day-to-day basis, primarily via the field.
In this role, the primary responsibilities consist of commissioning, breakdown repairs, maintenance and/or installation, upgrades and updates for Siemens products, including large variable speed drives and applications, automation systems (PCS7), and PLCs (S7). The role also entails the following responsibilities:

Area of Responsibilities:
  • Supporting numerous system and/or user challenges, resolving issues for customers, serving as a customer advocate, adhering to customer support standards, and maintaining good customer relations.
  • Provide resolutions to customer issues of varied severity according to the service levels defined Ensure that customer issues are escalated to the appropriate team or to management, and that issues are resolved..

  • Develop expertise in specific functional areas of Siemens' software, as well as a deep understanding of the products and the way Siemens' software works end-to-end.
  • Utilize EnergyIP software on internal support systems, if needed, in order to replicate issues internally.
  • Serve as a customer advocate within the Engineering and Product teams at Siemen.
  • To reduce problem tickets and increase customer self-service capabilities, develop knowledge base articles geared towards the client.
  • On an ongoing rotational basis, be available at all times to handle critical issues during the weekend.
  • Assure compliance with Siemens' processes and professional standards.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of the software support process by providing inputs for process and tool improvements.

  • Assist with installation, start-up, maintenance, repairs, and updates of all products under maintenance with the guidance of a senior CSE.
  • Prepare a summary of daily activities for supervisor's approval on job reports
  • Carry out the daily tasks in accordance with company procedures and processes
