The opportunity
The project involves the expansion of existing passenger and cargo terminals as part of the development of an international airport. Our team in Qatar is looking for a senior mechanical engineer with strong ambition and forward-thinking skills. Developing an airport is a complex, long-term project.
Your responsibilities will include:
- From consulting and MEP contracting through to commissioning and handover, managing all consultants and contractors.
- Report of MEP progress to the project director, design team, and commercial team, while evaluating the overall status of the MEP works.
- Participating in all stages of the project, in order to ensure that health and safety standards are of the highest standard.
- Aiding in the scheduling of design reviews for every gateway and control point.
- Managing the resources and input of technical review teams.
- Contributing to the development and monitoring of the client's brief and directing the fast-track high-end design execution.
- The development of a high-performing team that strives for quality, safety, and cost and schedule improvements at every opportunity with all delivery partners, challenging and seeking to improve the project deliverables.
As a chartered member with a relevant degree, you will take your personal development seriously.
You are adept at building relationships with clients, and you are able to lead strong, motivated teams. It is essential that you have experience in mechanical engineering projects for large airports and be eager to grow your career and take advantage of the opportunities Mace offers.
