Where Do You Fit In?
Our team is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated TechPro Project Engineer 1 - Omani National to work in Muscat, Oman. During this role, you will lead the team in assessing and improving Honeywell PMT program performances. You will identify technology roadmaps and develop cost, schedule, and milestone estimates, as well as drive improvements to engineering quality and productivity.
What Will You Be Doing Every Single Day?
- Before beginning work, ensure that the necessary prerequisites (e.g. design inputs, tools, and documentation) are in place.
- Under supervision, develop part(s) of the functional design specifications. Under supervision, prepares technical design specifications
- Technical specifications of the materials requested for the projects
- Programming the PLC and documentation of the implemented logic
- HMI displays (the operator displays built into the Honeywell system) preparation
- Execute implementation projects in accordance with quality standards.
- Exec Test works with Honeywell's system and third party equipment that should be integrated with Honeywell's system.
- Completing the client's project deliverables (developing the project documents and comprehending the project drawings and specifications)
- Prepare, modify, and print instrument drawings, specifications, data sheets, and wiring diagrams
- Share technical knowledge with the project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines.
- Proactively supporting the project team during implementation, testing, and commissioning
- Project and engineering supervisors should be informed of progress and technical issues
- Attending client meetings
- Identifying potential quality and efficiency improvements within assigned work in a proactive manner.
- Conduct site surveys, engineering and / or commissioning work as required at customers' sites.
- Communicate effectively with all project participants
- In addition, you will learn the new DCS, Safety systems, and third-party equipment relevant to the project design.
What Skills and Experience Will You Have?
- Graduate Instrumentation/Electronics/Chemical/Electrical and computer engineers with 0 to 2 years of experience with a proven Control engineering company are preferred.
- A basic understanding of administration and configuration of instruments protection system, PLC (Safety Manager system + Fail control system)
- To develop HMI (Human-Machine Interaction) displays, the individual should be able to interpret customer specifications.
- Developing face plates and graphics for operations should be possible in conjunction with customer operations
- A good understanding of how DCS interfaces with field instruments, control valves, and different types of instrument skids is required.
- Efforts of at least 2000 hours of work must be communicated effectively and contributed to the successful completion of projects.
- Must be able to commission the system in site and have relevant experience in commissioning (Install, validate, and commission instruments on-site)
- FAT and SAT participation must be active. Learn about the procedures to be followed when FAT and SAT are implemented.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and be able to estimate man hours from a specification.
- Experience with any DCS system and system skills are pre-requisites
- It is advantageous to have knowledge of any programming language (C, C++, C#)
- The applicant must be an Omani national.
