We are looking for a highly motivated and knowledgeable Clinical Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with the Sales Team in creating and demonstrating the clinical need for our range of products, devices, and consumables to end users. Your role will involve clinically selling our products, providing training to medical staff and potential customers, and delivering confident presentations and workshops to groups of medical professionals.
Roles and Duties of a Clinical Specialist:
- Remember complex and accurate information about a range of products.
- Feel confident enough to demonstrate medical devices.
- Be patient enough to train medical staff and potential customers .
- Give confident presentations and workshops to groups of medical professionals.
- Answer detailed questions about their specialist area.
- Explain how a product can fit into a particular clinical practice or setting.
- Stay up to date with new clinical evaluations of the product and innovations in their specialist field – these then need to be communicated to their customers.
- Stick to a schedule – overstretched healthcare professionals won’t have time to stay for longer than the agreed meeting time.
- Keep an eye on competitors so they can focus on their product’s unique selling points.
- Travel. Be flexible to travel within the territory, overseas to attend training or accompanying the end user to meetings abroad.
- Willingness to learn new products and flexibility is the key to success in the role of Clinical Specialist.
- Be a go getter and self-motivator with an outgoing personality.
Required Skills:
- Having second-to-none time-management skills.
- Maintaining an excellent and up-to-date customer database.
- Staying on top of emails and phone calls from customers to ensure all their questions and queries are answered.
- In constant communication with the Sales Team to arrange and oversee seamless supply to customers, including training, stock checks and timely deliveries.
- Working with the in-house sales and marketing team to ensure company-wide sales and profit targets are met.
- Generating ideas for the sales Team and senior management team
- Customer focused, Patient focused, Clinically focused to help drive up the sales.
- Be aligned with the company’s objectives and goals.
- Being able to communicate effectively with the Manufacturer.
Educational Background:
- Clinical Background, experience and Knowledge is highly desirable.
- Must hold either a Certificate/Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing/Radiology/Respiratory Therapy/Perfusion/Medical/Dental or related Medical field.
