About the Company:
Since 1965, Oman Construction Company LLC (TOCO) has been providing oil and gas services to the Sultanate of Oman. Since its founding in 1964, TOCO has served the Omani oil and gas sector as a symbol of 'Operational Excellence'. Several firsts are TOCO's legacy in Oman's oil and gas sector. This list includes the construction of the first pipeline, the flow line, the production station, the tank farm, and the overhead power line (Fahud to Mina Al Fahal in 1966). First rig moved to Fahud in 1967. TOCO has been associated with the majority of oil & gas operators in Oman since their very beginnings, and the relationship continues to this day.
Job Description:
- Provide plans and schedules for ad-hoc construction service requests, integrated maintenance plans for the execution phase of projects. Report on work activity progress and update plans and schedules on a regular basis.
- Working closely with Engineering & Operations Planning Departments, including Primavera P6 entry, SAP daily service entry, and Bi-weekly/Monthly reports.
- Resource optimization / prioritization in conjunction with Project Engineers / Construction / Maintenance Co-ordinators(s).
- Providing early warning of plan delays and mitigation proposals to Project Engineers / Construction / Maintenance Co-ordinators.
- Assist project engineers in preparing their work
Requirements:
Role
Provide cost & planning support for engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities (CSU). Plan and schedule project engineering, procurement, construction, and CSU activities in conjunction with project engineers, design engineers, and construction engineers. During day-to-day activities, he/she reports to the Technical Service Manager and the area Maintenance/integrity & Construction Site Coordinator. An Integrated Activity Planner is in charge of maintenance planning at Coastal.
Qualification
Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc./M.Sc./B.Eng.) and membership of internationally accepted applicable professional Institute.
Experience
Project Control & Planning Engineer: minimum of 8 years experience in project management of oil and gas facilities, Primavera Planning Software (P6), and SAP utilization in oil and gas projects
General
Expertise with PCs, data management, and planning software for oil & gas projects. Experience with Primavera P6 planning is a must. Must be able to build logic precedence networks, and challenge other disciplines' logic in order to optimize project and maintenance planning. Create resource activity plans, including ongoing updates, change control, progress reporting, etc. Excellent communication skills. Expertise with planning, scheduling, and reporting software programs.
