- Support Stryker customers' on-site technical needs.
- Performing preventative maintenance (PM) and completing repairs on medical equipment from Stryker's Medical portfolio, in accordance with Stryker's standards and procedures.
- Managing their own preventive maintenance schedule and performing repairs on their territory is the responsibility of the Field Service Engineer.
- Additionally, they will be required to commission and install equipment and to perform software and hardware upgrades on Stryker products.
- Using Stryker reporting tools and software packages, the Field Service Engineer will provide weekly reports to the Field Service Supervisor, provide service reports to customers, and ensure traceability of work and Stryker products.
- Support will also be provided to other territories and team members as required by the business. Ensure smooth and timely service delivery, customer satisfaction, and continued growth of ProCare service contracts by collaborating with Sales, Customer Service, RAQA, and Technical Support. Ensure responsiveness and superior customer service by establishing long-term relationships with customers, subcontractors and team members.
- Medical device preventive and corrective maintenance (meeting SLAs)
- Rapid response to breakdowns (meeting SLAs)
- Regular and on-time updates of work orders on the database, including completion of service reports.
- Upgrades to hardware and software
- Installation and commissioning of equipment
- Training of customers in technical matters
- Peer group technical training
- Organize a customer product assessment and provide a report
- Maintain safe working practices in both clinical and non-clinical environments
- Whenever possible, keep spare parts on hand
- Maintain company assets, such as laptops, etc. and tools, according to company guidelines
- Develop and maintain rapport with internal customers - RSMs, local sales teams, and head office staff
- Identify opportunities and issues and contribute to finding solutions.
- Aid regulatory bodies, RAQA department, and customers in responding to product recalls, MHRA alerts, Field Safety Notices (FSNs), and Field Action Notices.
- Prepare regular reports for customers and supervisors.
- Stryker field-based products should be traceable through reporting tools
- Provide regular updates on assigned tasks, attend team meetings, and deliver presentations.

- A HNC in Engineering or Electronics or an equivalent qualification in Engineering, electronics, or medical technology, such as Biomedical Engineering is desirable.
- Proficiency in written and spoken (technical and medical) English
- Appropriate IT knowledge (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Oracle, Powerplay, Impromptu)
- Experience in servicing, repairing, and testing electrical/electronic devices combined with good mechanical skills
- At least one year of experience in a hospital or healthcare service industry is preferred.
- Field service experience, clinical experience, experience with complex medical devices, and engineering knowledge will be highly valued.
- Knowledge of the appropriate national and local regulatory standards
- IT experience on both an administrative and technical level
